Lead Security Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Security Engineer to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced security professional to lead technical security initiatives and strengthen the organization's overall security posture, in an onsite role based in Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of security tools and infrastructure
• Monitor systems and networks for security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices
• Mentor junior security engineers and provide technical guidance
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to embed security into system design
• Stay current on emerging threats and evolving security technologies
• Support compliance efforts related to relevant security frameworks and regulations

Qualifications

• 6+ years of security engineering experience, including prior lead/senior experience
• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and threat detection tools
• Experience with SIEM platforms and incident response processes
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GSEC) preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
