IT Security Generalist

IT Security Generalist | Hamburg

This is a senior, hands-on role covering everything from architecture to incident response, in an environment where IT security is treated as core business rather than a compliance requirement. You would work across systems where the consequences of getting it wrong are significant, and where the investment in doing it right reflects that. Security has a seat at the table on major projects here, rather than being brought in after the fact.

The role:

→ Advise IT and infrastructure projects on integrating security requirements from the ground up.

→ Test and evaluate IT, cloud, network and OT systems against defined security standards.

→ Design, coordinate and develop technical security measures and architectures.

→ Carry out third-level analysis within the SOC.

→ Analyse security incidents, coordinate the response and drive sustainable remediation.

→ Contribute to the ongoing development of the central IT security architecture and standards.

What you'll need:

→ Completed IT training or a degree in information technology, or a comparable qualification.

→ Several years of experience in IT security, ideally within critical infrastructure and/or OT environments.

→ Strong knowledge of XDR systems, network and cloud security, identity and access management, and IT infrastructure.

→ Experience hardening Linux and Windows servers and endpoints.

→ Experience with security architectures such as Zero Trust, vulnerability management and OT security.

→ Experience with ISO 27001 and/or BSI IT-Grundschutz, and implementing regulatory security requirements.

→ Fluent German and English.
