Highlight: The Cloud and Network Engineer holds an essential role at Living Stones Group (LSG). This position supports new and existing clients who work in a variety of industries. LSG is a global company that supports clients with remote and on-prem solutions.
Hours: This position is full-time 40-hours per week (Monday to Friday), hybrid (primarily remote with scheduled office work in Cairo as needed). Work hours are during the afternoon and evening. This position also covers a minimum of one Sunday shift per month to monitor the service desk and respond to client needs. Comp time is provided for Sunday shifts.
Main Responsibilities for this Position:
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including user identity management (Entra ID), Exchange Online, and SharePoint/Teams permissions.
- Develop and install network infrastructure, configurations, and equipment such as routers and switches.
- Implement data security systems including MS365 Security & Compliance, firewalls, and cloud-based backup solutions.
- Perform routine network and cloud tenant monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Provide remote or on-site technical support, ensuring all solutions are documented within LSG’s service desk system.
- Research and keep up to date with the latest security standards, systems, and authentication protocols and apply standards and procedures to complete tasks.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure task activities are complete, and design, implement, test, and document systems and processes for LSG and its clients.
- Provide technical support and project implementation through direct contact with LSG team members and clients located globally.
- Participate in mentorship and learning paths set by senior engineers while providing mentorship, knowledge sharing, and day-to-day IT support engineers to foster their technical growth.
- VoIP Support with knowledge of Polycom, Linphone, ATA, E-Fax and FreePBX server configuration.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Language Skills
- Fluent and competent on a professional level, both verbally and written, in English and Arabic.
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in Microsoft 365 Administration (User management, security policies, and mail flow).
- Working knowledge of Azure Cloud services and hybrid identity environments.
- Experience with LAN, WAN, WLAN< and VPN design and implementation.
- Proficiency in network security (Fortinet/FortiGate preferred) and M365 Defender/Endpoint Manager (Intune).
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education and Certifications
Academic Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
Required Certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Certified (e.g., Administrator Associate or Security Administrator)
- Fortinet NSE 4 or higher
Preferred Certifications:
- CCNA
- Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or CISSP
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with team members.
Physical Ability
- Physical ability to lift equipment and perform on-site tasks in LSG and client offices and worksites.
