Cyber Security Specialist

MedNet Egypt is one of the leading managed care service organizations that caters to healthcare needs. We are looking for a skilled Junior Cyber Security Officer who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the company’s digital defense systems.

Your Role:

• Perform continuous monitoring of reported security incidents (SIEM, EDR, Firewall) to identify and perform the required action(s).
• Assist in the deployment and update of security measures, including EDR & patches.
• Support the administration of file-access permissions and monitor security access across the network.
• Support regular scanning activities and assist IT teams in patching identified vulnerabilities.
• Participate as a junior member in security breach investigations, collecting data and logs for analysis by senior staff.
• Maintain up-to-date records of security procedures, audit results, and system configurations.
• Help prepare materials for staff security training and respond to basic security inquiries from business users.
• Support internal and external security audits by gathering necessary evidence and documentation.

Your Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 0–2 years of experience in IT or a basic security role (internships or junior IT support roles considered).
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP).
• Foundational knowledge of cloud computing concepts. Exposure to security tools like antivirus, firewalls, or basic vulnerability scanners.
• Certifications (Desired but not mandatory): CompTIA Security+ Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, Cisco Certified Support Technician (CCST) Cybersecurity.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to follow logical steps to troubleshoot and solve basic technical issues.
• Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring logs and maintaining documentation.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with business users and explain security best practices.
