Job DescriptionTremend is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. Your Impact:
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration tests of systems, networks, and applications
- Identify and analyze potential security vulnerabilities and risks and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Implementing and maintaining security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption
- Monitor network traffic and system logs for possible security breaches and unauthorized access
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies
- Respond to and investigate security incidents to ensure timely incident response and resolution
- Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- 6+ years of experience in one of the following: security engineer, network engineer, or DevOps background preferred
- Hands-on security experience: at least previous experience in designing and implementing security measures
- Proactive approach, analytical mindset, and willingness to own and drive topics with full autonomy
- Familiar with risk assessment and management methodologies
- Familiar with security audits, certifications, and/or compliance
- Experience in public cloud infrastructure security (Azure or GCP) and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Splunk or equivalent tools
- Experience in vulnerability management programs
- Experience in ethical hacking and penetration testing is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in networking and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of security architecture and best practices
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) and their security implications
- Solid knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and infrastructure security.
