Security Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our client's cybersecurity team and play a key role in strengthening the organization's security posture. In this position, you will advise, guide, and support IT teams in implementing pragmatic, effective, and sustainable security measures that protect critical systems, applications, and sensitive data.

As a senior technical expert, you will contribute directly to the operational maturity of the security organization by identifying risks, mitigating vulnerabilities, and embedding security best practices into daily operations. Your work will have a tangible impact on both the protection of the business and the quality of service delivered to customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity topics, supporting IT teams with technical guidance, risk assessments, and security best practices.
• Analyze infrastructures, applications, and cloud environments to identify threats and implement effective security controls.
• Detect, monitor, and follow up on vulnerabilities, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external security partners to optimize existing controls and deploy new security solutions.
• Contribute to the governance of cybersecurity processes by maintaining technical documentation, defining relevant metrics, and supporting discussions around patch management, firewalls, identity management, and related topics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the overall security maturity of the organization.

Technical Expertise

• Proven senior-level experience in cybersecurity, ideally with 7 to 8 years of hands-on expertise.
• Strong knowledge of security principles related to operating systems, networking, firewalls, and cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of application and web security concepts, with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.
• Broad experience with security technologies and platforms, including:
• Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR)
• Cloud security solutions
• Static Application Security Testing (SAST)
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Firewalls
• Security monitoring and audit tools
• Ability to assess risks, formulate pragmatic recommendations, and translate security requirements into practical solutions.
