Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide specialized, advanced technology consultation, implementation, and support services within the Applications Virtualization Team of AEC Group, LLC. The Technology Consultant will also provide an escalation path in one or more particular technology areas, so that customers and team members have an expert resource to call upon for consulting, project delivery services, problem solving services, and/or general help.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains an expertise in one or more technology areas.
• Takes a lead role in the delivery of consulting projects that fall within the Employee’s area of expertise (“AOE”).
• Prepares less experienced team members to deliver projects in the Employee’s AOE.
• Provides an escalation path for the resolution of problems in the Employee’s AOE.
• Maintains certifications that relate to AOE, and as specified per partnership requirements from the OEM.
• Implements systems that allow team members to develop skills in the Employee’s AOE.
• Provides content for a technical training agenda that can be used by AEC Group, LLC team members.
• Disseminates technical information that relates to their area of expertise (“AOE”).
• Leads the adoption of new product solutions (as defined by management) in the Employee’s AOE.
• Responsible for software research, deployment and regression testing of new applications in the Employee’s AOE.
• Updates the technology knowledge base with information that is specific to the Specialist’s AOE.
• Provides sales engineering support as requested from the sales team.
• Provides design related feedback to architecture team when discoveries are made in the employee’s AOC.
• Supports the implementation of appropriate lab/demonstration environments that can be efficiently utilized by the specialist team and the sales team.
• Maintains proficiency in technical writing.
• Works in conjunction with management for the establishment of system/solution/technology implementation standards and procedures within the Employee’s AOE.
• Follows all policies, methodologies and guidelines provided by AEC Group, LLC and as defined by the Management Team.
• Works with Help Desk Manager to ensure that appropriate resources and problem-solving methodologies are applied to issues within the Employee’s AOE

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft technologies in a business environment.
• Experience supporting multiple Microsoft 365 tenants is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field; and/or equivalent work experience.
• MSP or technology consulting experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and cloud services.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Entra ID, identity management, and authentication.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to independently research and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a technical team.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation.
