Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your software development and cybersecurity expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining cybersecurity software solutions, ensuring robust, secure, and high-performing products that protect railway communication systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as software engineers, system architects, and cybersecurity specialists), lead product integration efforts, and provide comprehensive technical documentation to support project teams, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of developing new features and enhancements for the Security Gateway (SGTW) product, but also ensure software scalability, reliability, and maintainability through corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
We’ll look to you for:
- Designing, developing, and integrating new features and enhancements for the Security Gateway (SGTW) product
- Ensuring software scalability, reliability, and maintainability through corrective and preventive maintenance activities
- Investigating, diagnosing, and remediating software defects, anomalies, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities
- Developing and maintaining automation tools, scripts, and frameworks for build, testing, and deployment processes
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including functional specifications, technical notes, and test procedures
- Designing, executing, and maintaining unit, integration, and system-level testing to ensure software quality and performance
- Delivering project objectives while meeting Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- At least 4 years of professional experience in software development, automated testing development, or related engineering roles
- Proficiency in, or strong interest in developing with, the following technologies: PHP, Python, Rust, and Bash/Shell scripting
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, preferably GitLab CI
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including system administration, service management, troubleshooting, and debugging
- Good understanding of networking technologies and cybersecurity principles
- Knowledge of FreeBSD is considered a strong advantage
- Ability to work effectively in a regulated industrial environment with a strong focus on cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance
