IT Security Assistant Vice President – Security Automation
- Cpl are partnering with a leading international financial services organisation to hire an IT Security Assistant Vice President for its Security Architecture & Engineering function in Dublin.
- This is a hands-on security automation role for someone who enjoys improving how security controls are delivered and managed across complex enterprise environments. You will work closely with infrastructure, engineering and security teams to reduce manual effort, strengthen control standards and embed security into day-to-day technology delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions that improve security controls and reduce operational risk.
- Integrate security tooling and guardrails into new and existing infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
- Automate the configuration, management and change process for security controls, including areas such as firewall policy.
- Support the adoption of Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code practices across security and technology teams.
- Review existing manual processes, identify automation opportunities and deliver practical improvements.
- Work with global technical and business stakeholders to maintain the availability, integrity and confidentiality of critical systems.
- Balance operational support requirements with security engineering and transformation initiatives.
Requirements
- 4+ Years experience in a similar role.
- Strong technical understanding of information security, including network, infrastructure and endpoint security.
- Experience operating, supporting or improving security controls in an enterprise environment.
- Hands-on scripting capability using Python, PowerShell, Bash or similar automation technologies.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and principles.
- Knowledge of Policy as Code and how it can be used to enforce security standards at scale.
- Ability to work across infrastructure, cloud, engineering and security teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security requirements to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience in regulated, financial services or other complex environments would be advantageous.
- Must have minimum stamp 1G Spousal/Stamp 4 and live within a commutable distance to Dublin
