Data Architect (Microsoft Fabric)

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of total technical experience in data engineering, analytics, or enterprise data platforms, including 3+ years in a dedicated data architecture or technical lead role.
• Strong understanding of modern data architecture patterns, including Lakehouse, data warehouse, dimensional modeling, and semantic modeling.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
• Working knowledge of Power BI architecture and data governance concepts, including metadata, lineage, security, and compliance.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business strategy into architecture roadmaps.
• Advanced English proficiency, written and spoken, required for daily collaboration with U.S.-based teams and client-facing engagements.
• Valid passport and up-to-date travel documentation for the United States, as occasional international travel may be required depending on client and project needs.

Projects

As a Data Architect at Integratz, you will join our global delivery team, working closely with U.S.-based teams to define, govern, and evolve enterprise data architectures across Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Purview, and Azure, turning fragmented data estates into trusted, analytics-ready ecosystems.

You will own Integratz's Fabric-centered architecture method, including the medallion architecture pattern, and define the target architecture for Integratz's enterprise data warehouse modernization program, guiding the migration to governed Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse ecosystems. You will partner directly with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analysts on this engagement, collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders in a highly collaborative, multicultural environment.

The work is primarily remote, with occasional office presence for team meetings, especially when U.S. colleagues visit, and occasional travel to the U.S. depending on project needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define enterprise data architecture standards, reference architectures, and implementation patterns for Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Purview, and Azure-based data platforms.
• Lead the design of Fabric-first analytics architectures, including OneLake strategy, Lakehouse and Warehouse patterns, workspace structure, domains, capacity considerations, and data product design.
• Establish Power BI architecture standards for semantic models, certified datasets, deployment pipelines, workspace governance, performance optimization, and self-service reporting.
• Define Microsoft Purview governance models including data catalog standards, lineage, business glossary, classification, ownership, stewardship, metadata management, and information protection alignment practices.
• Guide modernization from legacy databases, data warehouses, reporting platforms, and fragmented data stores into governed lakehouse and analytics ecosystems.
• Design integration strategies across cloud, on-premises, SaaS, operational systems, APIs, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
• Define data security, access control, privacy, retention, quality, and compliance patterns aligned to client and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with executive stakeholders, business leaders, delivery teams, and technical specialists to align data architecture with strategic outcomes.
• Conduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, platform readiness evaluations, and roadmap planning sessions.
• Translate complex Fabric architectures and data solutions into clear, business-friendly explanations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Document data architectures, pipelines, and technical decisions.
• Mentor data engineers, BI developers, analysts, and client teams on architecture standards and best practices.

• Hands-on experience with Fabric architecture: OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, workspaces, security, and capacity planning.
• Experience leading Microsoft Purview adoption or a Power BI Center of Excellence, including catalog, lineage, glossary, or reporting operating models.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Delta Lake, or enterprise integration tools.
• Experience supporting AI and Copilot readiness, responsible data usage, and analytics modernization.
• Fabric, Power BI, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Engineer, or governance certifications are a plus.
