Digital Workplace 365 Architect

Job Description:

• We are looking for a Microsoft 365 Solution Architect with deep Azure expertise to design, govern, and deliver enterprise-grade collaboration, security, identity, and productivity solutions. This role owns architecture decisions end-to-end—from tenant strategy and identity to security, compliance, and integrations with Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Strategy

• Define Microsoft 365 tenant architecture aligned with enterprise IT and cloud strategy

• Design hybrid and cloud-native M365 solutions integrated with Azure services

• Act as architecture authority for Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Power Platform

• Drive roadmaps, standards, and governance models for M365 adoption

• Identity, Security & Compliance

• Architect Azure AD / Entra ID solutions including Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, B2B/B2C

• Design Zero Trust security models across M365 and Azure

• Lead architecture for Microsoft Defender suite, Purview, DLP, eDiscovery, Information Protection

• Ensure compliance with ISO, SOC, GDPR, HIPAA, or industry regulations

• Azure Integration

• Design integrations between M365 and Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Azure Monitor, Sentinel, Key Vault)

• Architect hybrid identity and access models (AD Connect, cloud-only, federation)

• Collaborate with Azure platform teams on networking, security, and monitoring alignment

• Migration & Modernization

• Lead Exchange, SharePoint, Teams migrations from on-prem or legacy platforms

• Define migration strategy, tooling, risk mitigation, and coexistence models

• Ensure performance, scalability, and business continuity

• Stakeholder & Delivery Leadership

• Translate business requirements into technical architecture

• Advise CIOs, CISOs, and IT leadership on M365 and Azure capabilities

• Produce architecture diagrams, design documents, and standards

• Guide engineering teams and review implementations for architectural compliance

Required Skills & Experience:

Core Expertise

• 10+ years in Microsoft enterprise technologies

• 4+ years as a Solution / Cloud Architect

Deep hands-on knowledge of:

• Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)

• Azure AD / Entra ID

• Azure core services and security

• Technical Strengths

• Identity & access management (IAM)

• M365 security, compliance, and governance

• Hybrid cloud architecture

• Power Platform architecture (Power Apps, Power Automate – preferred)

• Monitoring and security tooling (Defender, Sentinel – preferred)

Certifications (Strongly Preferred):

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

• Security certifications are a plus
