Enterprise Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer

The Enterprise Cloud and Systems Engineer work deeply at the technical level deploying and configuring Azure resources, managing identity services, building Infrastructure as Code, automating operational processes, and maintaining enterprise storage platforms. This role collaborates closely with architecture, security, operations, and application teams to integrate on‑premises systems with Azure and to provide stable, well‑governed platform services that support firm‑wide applications and data.
Essential Functions
- Design, deploy, and operate Azure infrastructure including virtual machines, networking, identity services, storage, and supporting platform services (IaaS and selected PaaS)
- Build and maintain Azure landing zones, subscription structures, resource organization, policies, and governance controls
- Implement and manage hybrid infrastructure, including connectivity between on‑premises environments and Azure (identity synchronization, networking integration, and access controls)
- Administer and support Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID), including directory synchronization, authentication flows, conditional access, and role‑based access control
- Design and manage Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute or VPN Gateway connectivity, routing, and Network Security Groups (NSGs)
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and/or Bicep to provision and manage Azure resources consistently across environments
- Engineer and operate enterprise Azure storage solutions, including Azure Files, Azure NetApp Files, and Azure Blob Storage, ensuring security. performance, availability, and appropriate data protection
- Build automation and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub to support infrastructure deployment, updates, and operational workflows
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and security controls to ensure visibility, compliance, and operational stability across cloud platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and hybrid infrastructure issues related to performance, connectivity, identity, or service availability
- Participating in incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation activities to improve platform reliability and resilience
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks to support IT Operations and ensure repeatable processes
- Provide advanced technical support and subject matter expertise for cloud and hybrid infrastructure services
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and operational responsibilities effectively
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in cloud, platform, or infrastructure engineering roles
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure services, architecture, and operational best practices
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments integrating on‑premises and cloud systems
- Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience
- Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and operational tasks
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, VPNs, routing, and connectivity concepts
- Familiarity with Azure networking services such as VNets, ExpressRoute or VPN Gateways, and Network Security Groups (NSGs) Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, equivalent technical certification, or comparable professional experience Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
- Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Or equivalent certifications supporting Azure, hybrid infrastructure, or infrastructure automation
- Attention to detail: Designs and implements accurate, secure, and repeatable infrastructure solutions with minimal errors
- Critical thinking and problem solving: Diagnoses and resolves complex technical issues across cloud and hybrid platforms
- Customer service: Responsive and dependable technical partner to internal IT teams and stakeholders
- Initiative and continuous improvement: Proactively automates manual processes and improves platform reliability and efficiency
- Teamwork: Works effectively across architecture, security, operations, and engineering teams to deliver stable platform services

- Available to work 9:00 - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.
- Hybrid work arrangements may be available for this position.
