Senior DevOps Engineer

Position Details

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help sustain our high standard of customer support.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in supporting our enterprise clients by applying your knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/AWS/Azure, private cloud environments, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Prometheus, ELK, and related tools. You'll collaborate directly with clients to understand their requirements and deliver customized solutions that drive their success. Success in this position depends on your ability to quickly pick up new technical areas and share that knowledge with others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert-level support for cloud migration and DevOps initiatives for enterprise clients
• Manage and fine-tune GCP resources, including GKE, Compute Engine, SQL/NoSQL databases, Cloud Storage, and more
• Deploy, monitor, and oversee Kubernetes clusters and Docker containers
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
• Track system performance and maintain high availability through Prometheus
• Establish and manage log analysis and monitoring via the ELK stack
• Provide support and optimization for private cloud infrastructure
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and build infrastructure solutions tailored to customer needs
• Provide outstanding client-facing support with a strong commitment to customer success
• Coach and train colleagues on emerging technical areas and best practices
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and systems to boost efficiency and reliability

Mandatory Qualifications

• 8–10 years of overall experience in cloud technical support and DevOps
• Demonstrated expertise in GCP/AWS/Azure, including GKE, Compute Engine, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Cloud Storage
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Strong command of CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins
• Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus and ELK
• Working experience with Linux operating systems
• Proven track record managing and optimizing private cloud environments
• Ability to rapidly master new technical domains and train others effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform well under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Conversational Japanese language ability
• A customer-first mindset with genuine enthusiasm for client satisfaction

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience in client-facing roles supporting enterprise customers
• Google Cloud Platform certifications or equivalent
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
