DevOps Engineer - Data Platform

You operate, stabilize and further develop our data platform landscape. This role combines production-close operations with the evolution of data flows, automation, integrations and architecture. You understand technical interdependencies across the whole process, act pragmatically and craft traceable, sustainable solutions. Role highlights

• Ensure reliable operation, maintenance and evolution of the data platform
• Design and deliver solutions in operations, automation, data engineering and integration
• Standardize and automate infrastructure, setup, release and run processes
• Support production-grade troubleshooting, stabilization, migrations, handovers and hypercare
• Further develop CI/CD, monitoring, logging, alerting and runbooks

Your skills

Technical and education

• Degree (Uni/FH/HF) in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
• Several years of experience in platform operations, automation, data engineering and integration
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Python and Kafka
• Solid experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, incremental processing, data validation, deployment and version control, as well as monitoring, logging, alerting and runbooks in production environments

Personal and languages

• Structured, solution-oriented and pragmatic
• Reliable, engaged and accountable
• Communicative and team-oriented; confident collaboration with diverse stakeholders and topics end-to-end
• Good English in speaking and writing; German is a plus
