Lapsi Health is a global medical technology company HQ in Amsterdam with offices in the United States, Finland, and Chile.

The company is building Keikku, a clinical AI platform that transforms clinical sound and conversation into structured medical data. By combining digital auscultation, AI medical scribing, and generative clinical intelligence, Lapsi Health is creating a new interface for AI in healthcare designed to support clinicians and reduce the burden of medical documentation.

About the Role

We are seeking a Semi-Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (2 to 4 years of experience) to join our technology team and take responsibility for designing, building, automating, and evolving the cloud platform on which our products operate.

This role will have a direct impact on Lapsi Health's scalability. You will be responsible for reducing the development team's operational dependency by automating deployments, continuously improving the infrastructure, implementing observability, and adopting best practices in architecture, security, and reliability. You will work on a technology platform that combines mobile applications, web applications, APIs, artificial intelligence, audio processing, and connected medical devices, primarily using cloud solutions.

We are looking for an ownership-minded individual capable of proposing improvements, solving complex problems, and building a robust platform that allows the development team to focus on product development. In the medium term, we expect this person to lead the evolution of our cloud platform and actively participate in defining the company's technology architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Lapsi Health's cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
• Manage and evolve continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for all company projects.
• Automate infrastructure creation and configuration using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design scalable, resilient, and highly available architectures.
• Configure monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerts for the entire platform.
• Manage tools such as GitHub, Datadog, and Sentry to improve product operation and development.
• Implement best practices for security, secrets management, certificates, permissions, and identities.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of architecture, infrastructure, and operational processes.
• Perform gap analyses by comparing the current architecture with reference architectures and propose improvement plans.
• Participate in the definition and implementation of disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with the development team to optimize the developer experience, reducing friction through automation, tools, and processes. Participate in technical investigations, troubleshooting, and production incidents as needed.
• Manage cloud services such as databases, storage, networks, DNS, load balancers, certificates, and managed services.
• Collaborate on optimizing infrastructure performance, availability, and costs.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and propose improvements that strengthen the company's technology platform.

Requirements

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or OpenTOFU).
• Experience working with Docker in development and production environments.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
• Solid knowledge of Linux.
• Knowledge of networking (VPC, subnets, routing, VPN, Load Balancers, Security Groups, and firewalls).
• Experience managing IAM, identity management, permissions, and secrets.
• Experience configuring monitoring, logging, and alerting services.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Ability to document architectures, processes, and infrastructure.
• Basic backend development knowledge to understand applications, APIs, and debugging processes.

Bonus

• Experience implementing high-availability and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Experience managing Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Datadog, Sentry, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience managing cloud databases (RDS, Cloud SQL, or other managed databases).
• Knowledge of cloud cost optimization (FinOps).
• Experience working with serverless services.
• Experience managing infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence applications.
• Knowledge of AWS Organizations, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and WAF.
• Experience working under standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.
• Experience using Draw.io or other architecture documentation tools.
• Experience in HealthTech, MedTech, or regulated software companies.
