DMV’s Information Systems Division is seeking a driven IT Specialist II to lead technical direction for the EAB team. In this role, you’ll guide modern software solution design and development, streamline team alignment with ISD strategies, and drive innovation across evolving tech stacks.

You’ll oversee deployments, releases, and SDLC documentation, stay ahead of emerging technologies, and recommend enhancements that strengthen DMV’s application platforms and security standards. A great opportunity for a forward‑thinking technical leader ready to make impact.


What You Will Do

  • Lead complex SDLC projects and guide the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise software.
  • Conduct research, configuration, programming, testing, and implementation of business applications.
  • Drive user‑centric design, enterprise architecture, service‑oriented architecture, and cloud migration efforts.
  • Align team workflows, tech stacks, and design methods with DMV/ISD strategies; lead technical innovation.
  • Build proof‑of‑concepts for new technologies, frameworks, and components.
  • Plan, design, and test system components to support long‑term IT strategy and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with business and IT partners to deliver effective technical solutions.
  • Mentor staff in best practices, modern tools, and development techniques.
  • Track emerging technologies, methodologies, and security standards; recommend platform and process improvements.
  • Present technical material to teams, leadership, and external audiences.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain EAB systems across all development and testing environments.
  • Support operational processes for business applications.


Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Develop and support solutions using Salesforce, Copado, Mulesoft, or similar platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve application issues through root‑cause analysis and targeted code fixes.
  • Execute test plans for system upgrades and releases.
  • Analyze, create, and solve complex technical problems with strong critical‑thinking skills.
  • Contribute ideas and enhance digital platform delivery with detail‑focused teamwork.
  • Balance technical expertise with strategic business thinking.
  • Present technical concepts effectively to peers and leadership.
