Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a hybrid Microsoft infrastructure environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for administering core Microsoft technologies, supporting enterprise applications, managing Azure cloud services, and assisting with network operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft systems administration, Azure infrastructure, and network troubleshooting.

What You'll Be Doing

Administer and support enterprise Microsoft environments including:

• Active Directory
• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft Intune
• Group Policy
• Windows Server infrastructure
• Deploy, configure, and support critical business applications across the organization.
• Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and networking solutions.
• Configure and manage Azure virtual networks, subnets, network security groups (NSGs), VPN connectivity, and related Azure networking components.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure environments.
• Assist with network administration including connectivity troubleshooting, firewall management, and network configuration.
• Manage endpoint deployment, provisioning, and device lifecycle activities through Microsoft Intune.
• Maintain system security, patch management processes, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to support infrastructure projects and technology modernization initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and support procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar infrastructure-focused role.

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Active Directory
• Microsoft 365
• Microsoft Intune
• Windows Server
• Experience deploying and supporting enterprise applications.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure administration and cloud services.
• Hands-on experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting Azure networking solutions.

Knowledge of networking fundamentals including:

• TCP/IP
• DNS
• DHCP
• VPN technologies
• Routing and switching
• Experience troubleshooting infrastructure, systems, and network-related issues.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft security best practices and infrastructure hardening.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting or administering Salesforce environments.
