Entry-Level Cloud Engineer — Job Description
Fulltime
Experience: 1-4 years
Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Monitor cloud resources, applications, and system performance.
- Support virtual machines, storage, databases, networking, and IAM.
- Troubleshoot basic cloud infrastructure and connectivity issues.
- Write and maintain scripts for automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Work with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Assist with CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.
- Implement basic security, backup, and access-control practices.
- Document infrastructure configurations and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and IT teams.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Linux fundamentals and basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
- Familiarity with Git.
- Basic scripting/programming skills.
- Understanding of Docker and containers.
- Familiarity with Terraform or another IaC tool.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud certification.
- Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Basic monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Prometheus.
