Cloud Security Architect - Azure
Our customer is looking for a Cloud Security Architect to join their Global IT Security team. In this role, you will analyse and understand security challenges in the cloud. You will define and implement the right approach to maintain and secure their Azure ecosystem, while providing security requirements for IT projects, particularly those focused on Digital Service Data and AI Platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and act as the Data Security Subject Matter Expert for architecture, design and configuration of secure, scalable and resilient cloud and on-premise data architectures.
- Perform security assessments of Azure data architectures and services.
- Contribute to the definition of their data security best practices, governance and processes.
- Define technical and functional security prerequisites for major cloud projects, aligned with IT and Information Security strategies, particularly around digital identities, cloud integration and data platforms.
- Review Azure cloud services and recommend security requirements in line with the customers security framework.
- Contribute to the definition, drafting and rollout of security policies, directives and guidelines.
- Manage cloud security projects, including requirements gathering, solution evaluation, testing, vendor selection, contract negotiation and implementation.
- Support business entities in deploying security solutions while balancing business requirements from stakeholders including Business Owners, Clients, BU CIOs, Internal Control, Internal Audit and External Auditors.
- Provide support to regions and Business Units migrating or deploying workloads into their public cloud environment.
- Assess security risks and define appropriate security measures and processes for key business projects prior to go-live and rollout.
- Analyse business and IT requests impacting information and systems security within their public cloud and recommend appropriate mitigating measures.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security (Master's degree preferred).
- 3-6+ years' experience in Information Security, including consulting, audit or security architecture.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working with Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services, including Azure SQL, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake and Power BI.
- Knowledge of Azure AI platforms, including Databricks, Azure Machine Learning and Cognitive Services.
- Strong technical background across networking, systems, databases and applications.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies such as ISO 27005 and EBIOS.
- Cloud certifications or training are preferred (e.g. Microsoft AZ-500, AZ-30x, SANS SEC545).
- Information Security certifications are advantageous, including ISO 27001, CISSP, CISM or equivalent.
- Fluent English is essential (French is an advantage), with excellent written communication skills.
