As a Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps systems, automating workflows, and optimizing development and release pipelines. You will work closely with developers and internal teams to deliver reliable services, with a strong focus on automation, observability, and logging.
How you create impact
- Design, deploy, and manage the lifecycle of our AWS-based data integration platform (Cloudera DataHub and Apache NiFi), ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with enterprise integration needs.
- Design and improve standardized, secure CI/CD pipelines for middleware and integration services used by multiple teams.
- Define and enforce IaC standards using CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and Terraform for consistent and automated AWS provisioning.
- Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting practices using tools such as CloudWatch, Fluentd, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
- Implement security-by-design principles, including IAM governance, encryption, compliance controls, and vulnerability management.
- Lead troubleshooting and performance optimization to maintain high availability and resolve complex integration issues.
- Contribute to 3rd-level on-call support while improving automation, runbooks, and incident response processes.
- Optimize AWS architecture for cost, performance, and reliability while mentoring DevOps engineers and promoting DevOps best practices.
- 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, managing production cloud platforms with strong expertise in AWS.
- Experience leading engineering initiatives, influencing architecture decisions, and promoting DevOps best practices across teams.
- Strong Linux administration and CI/CD experience (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins), with deep Infrastructure as Code skills using Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
- Advanced Python and Bash skills for automating operations, building tools, and improving platform reliability.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/EKS, container management, and high-availability environments.
- Ability to design reusable patterns, frameworks, and reference architectures, especially for hybrid or cloud integration.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in international, cross-functional teams; fluent in English.
