Platform Engineer | Senior

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to design, govern and evolve enterprise platform capabilities in the financial markets sector. The role focuses on AWS, Internal Developer Platforms, CI/CD, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, observability and reusable engineering standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

* Define and promote enterprise-wide platform standards and best practices.

* Design and maintain CI/CD frameworks, reusable capabilities and reference architectures.

* Own and evolve the Internal Developer Platform strategy, Golden Paths and self-service capabilities.

* Improve productivity, consistency, security and time-to-market across product teams.

* Maintain platform documentation, standards and operational procedures.

* Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across development, test and production environments.

* Collaborate with development, operations, security and architecture teams.

* Support architecture reviews for scalable, secure and resilient platforms.

* Monitor performance, reliability, capacity and cost efficiency.

* Automate manual tasks and improve platform operations.

* Lead platform adoption and support teams in applying standards.

* Use governance, DORA metrics and developer productivity insights to drive improvement.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* 8 to 10 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud, Infrastructure, DevOps or SRE.

* Experience defining enterprise platform standards, CI/CD frameworks and developer platform capabilities.

* Strong experience with AWS and GitLab in large-scale environments.

* Experience with version control, configuration management, software delivery and deployment automation.

* Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms.

* Experience with observability, reliability, incident management and operational excellence.

* Experience building or operating Internal Developer Platforms.

* Knowledge of DevSecOps, vulnerability management, secrets management, policy-as-code and compliance automation.

* Experience with platform governance, DORA metrics and continuous improvement.

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.

* Professional working proficiency in English.

* Ownership, autonomy, accountability and a collaborative mindset.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

* AWS, GitLab, Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform

* Kubernetes and cloud-native platforms

* Internal Developer Platforms, Backstage, Crossplane

* CI/CD, configuration management and deployment automation

* Infrastructure as Code and platform orchestration

* Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, SLOs and SLAs

* Incident management and operational excellence

* DevSecOps, vulnerability management and secrets management

* Software supply chain security, policy-as-code and compliance automation

* Platform governance, engineering KPIs and DORA metrics

* Reference architectures and technical documentation

NICE TO HAVE

* Experience driving platform adoption across multiple product teams.

* Experience with enterprise developer productivity initiatives.

* Awareness of ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001 or cybersecurity best practices.

COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY

Base salary range: EUR 18 000 - EUR 22 000 gross/year

Total compensation: up to EUR 35 000/year

The salary range is based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including required competencies, professional experience, level of responsibility and role requirements. Final compensation will be determined according to the candidate's profile and position requirements.
