Job Description:

Seeking an experienced AWS Data Migration Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS cloud services to support enterprise data migration and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and execute scalable data migration solutions while ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

Design and execute data migration strategies to AWS.

Develop migration tools, APIs, and automation using Node.js.

Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.

Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, queries, and performance.

Utilize AWS services including DMS, RDS PostgreSQL, S3, Lambda, Glue, and CloudWatch.

Troubleshoot migration issues and support production cutovers.

Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

8+ years overall, with at least 5 years of hands-on AWS data migration experience.

5+ years of experience in data migration and database solutions.

Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

Experience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).

Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.

Experience with REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certification(s).

Experience migrating Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL databases to PostgreSQL.

Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS Glue..
