Terraform Cloud Engineer

Contract Role – Terraform Cloud Engineer – Dublin/Hybrid – 12 months initial

Terraform Cloud Engineer to expand our DevOps capability and support growth in our cloud engineering and software delivery platforms they will design, implement and maintain secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure and deploy solutions in Azure.

Role Overview:

• Job Title: Terraform Cloud Engineer
• Location: Dublin/ Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)
• Contract Type: Contract
• Duration: 12 months initial
• Rate: €651.94/day UMB/LTD OR €510.97/day + holidays (26 days + 10 bank holidays pro rata) PAYE
• Technical Requirements: Azure (critical), Terraform (non-negotiable), full automation mindset

Infrastructure as Code

• Strong Terraform experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience creating reusable modules and managing environments through code.
• Understanding of infrastructure lifecycle management and state management.

Automation & CI/CD

• Experience building automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience of GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Experience automating operational and engineering processes.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience managing Azure services including:
• Azure Virtual Networks
• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure Key Vault
• Azure Storage
• Azure App Services
• Azure Monitor
• Azure Entra ID (Azure AD)

Secret Management & Security

• Experience implementing secrets management solutions.
• Experience with Azure Key Vault or other enterprise secret management platforms.
• Strong understanding of identity, authentication and least-privilege access models.
• Familiarity with security and compliance requirements in regulated environments.

Monitoring & Operations

• Experience supporting production cloud environments.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging and incident response.
• Understanding of reliability engineering principles and operational excellence.

Desirable Skills

• Containerisation experience.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise.
• Experience with Hashicorp Vault.
• Experience implementing platform engineering capabilities.
• Experience supporting data platforms such as Databricks or large-scale analytics environments.
• Knowledge of networking, DNS, certificates and cloud security controls.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
