Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing financial services organization located in Bethesda, MD. This role will focus on building and modernizing secure, scalable Azure infrastructure while supporting the organization’s transition toward modern cloud-native and serverless technologies. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days per week onsite in Bethesda, MD.

Responsibilities for the Azure Infrastructure Engineer Include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure supporting enterprise and cloud-native applications.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or similar technologies.
• Design and maintain secure Azure networking solutions, including VNets, Private Link, Private Endpoints, and secure connectivity.
• Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity solutions using Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and related technologies.
• Help modernize legacy infrastructure approaches to support serverless, PaaS, and other cloud-native Azure services.
• Support a new Azure subscription focused on enterprise integrations and API-based services.
• Partner with application, security, and IT teams on cloud architecture, troubleshooting, and infrastructure modernization.

Qualifications for the Azure Infrastructure Engineer Include:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong Azure networking experience, including VNets, Private Link, Private Endpoints, and routing.
• Hands-on experience with disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity in Azure.
• Experience supporting modern cloud architectures, including PaaS and serverless technologies.
• Strong understanding of Azure security and identity concepts.

Compensation for the Azure Infrastructure Engineer Includes:

Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 + 10% bonus annually depending on experience.
