DevOps Platform Engineer

Role Description The DevOps Platform Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Manila. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure platform infrastructure to support software delivery and operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment and monitoring processes, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with development teams to ensure smooth integration and release cycles. The DevOps Platform Engineer will troubleshoot platform and application issues, manage configuration and version control, and ensure high availability and resilience of services. The role also involves documenting best practices, improving operational workflows, and contributing to ongoing platform enhancements.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex platform and application issues.
• Candidates should possess software development and programming skills to build automation scripts, tools, and integrations for CI/CD and infrastructure management.
• Candidates should possess infrastructure skills, including experience with servers, networking, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization/orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Candidates should possess databases skills, including experience with relational or NoSQL databases, performance tuning, and backup/recovery practices.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation) is preferred.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk) and infrastructure-as-code concepts is beneficial.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
