Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT infrastructure professional to support and enhance a diverse technology environment that combines traditional datacenter systems with modern cloud-based services. This role will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving core infrastructure platforms while partnering with technical and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable technology operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with experience across server administration, virtualization, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems. This individual should be comfortable working in both project-based and operational support capacities while helping drive modernization initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Deploy, administer, and maintain enterprise infrastructure platforms, including identity management, directory services, policy administration, name resolution services, file sharing, and remote access technologies.
• Support initiatives involving cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and integration between legacy business systems and cloud-hosted solutions.
• Configure and manage virtualized environments, high-availability platforms, and clustered systems utilizing industry-standard hypervisor technologies and shared-storage architectures.
• Implement security best practices and infrastructure hardening measures to improve system resilience and reduce risk exposure.
• Support remote workforce technologies, virtual desktop environments, and secure access solutions for distributed users.
• Assist with infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, capacity planning, and operational troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with internal teams and business partners to assess requirements, identify technical solutions, and deliver infrastructure improvements.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, system standards, and operational procedures.

Required Background

• Minimum of three years of professional experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud-enabled technology environments.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft-based server and directory platforms within medium-to-large business environments.
• Knowledge of identity services, policy management, network services, file systems, and endpoint management technologies.
• Experience supporting environments that leverage a combination of on-premises infrastructure and cloud-hosted services.
• Familiarity with collaboration, productivity, messaging, and cloud platform technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and highly available infrastructure solutions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently resolve technical issues.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technology support.

Desired Experience

• Exposure to enterprise messaging, database, web application, and remote application delivery platforms.
• Experience supporting virtualized desktop or remote application environments for multi-user organizations.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted desktop solutions and remote workforce technologies.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, system baselines, vulnerability remediation practices, and infrastructure governance standards.
• Experience operating within regulated or compliance-driven industries.
• Participation in professional development activities and pursuit of industry-recognized technical certifications.
