Job Description

Capgemini is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure and digital transformation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions that support business applications and enterprise systems. The candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, networking, security, and cloud migration projects.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud environments. You will play a critical role in modernizing enterprise infrastructure and ensuring that cloud resources are efficiently utilized while maintaining compliance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Configure and manage virtual machines, storage accounts, networking resources, and cloud services.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of cloud environments.
• Monitor resource utilization and optimize cloud costs.
• Support cloud governance and compliance initiatives.

Cloud Architecture & Deployment

• Assist in designing cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Implement cloud infrastructure according to business and technical requirements.
• Deploy and configure cloud services and applications.
• Participate in cloud architecture reviews and technical discussions.
• Support multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.

Cloud Migration

• Plan and execute migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to cloud platforms.
• Assess existing systems and recommend migration strategies.
• Perform cloud readiness assessments.
• Minimize downtime during migration activities.
• Validate migrated applications and infrastructure.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates.
• Automate provisioning and configuration management processes.
• Create deployment scripts and automation workflows.
• Improve operational efficiency through automation.
• Support CI/CD integration with cloud services.

Security & Compliance

• Implement cloud security best practices.
• Configure identity and access management policies.
• Manage encryption, certificates, and secrets.
• Monitor cloud environments for security threats.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor cloud infrastructure and application performance.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for system incidents.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
• Support disaster recovery and backup solutions.
