Glocomms is partnering growing biotechnology organization that is seeking a Senior Cloud Security & Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance its cloud, server, network, and security environments. This individual will play a key role in maintaining reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure while partnering with both technical and business stakeholders.
This is a hands-on position offering the opportunity to work across cloud platforms, networking, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, and monitoring services.
- Manage Windows and Linux server environments.
- Support and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity while supporting upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation efforts, and system hardening initiatives.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs.
- Assist with cloud modernization, automation, and platform engineering projects.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams, managed service providers, and technology vendors on projects and support activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or related experience.
- Strong experience supporting AWS cloud environments.
- Expertise with both Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Experience with enterprise networking technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, vulnerability management, and access controls.
- Experience supporting backup and disaster recovery processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or other highly compliant environments.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
- Infrastructure automation and scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
- Industry certifications related to cloud, infrastructure, networking, or security.
