System Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Expert / System Engineer to join a highly technical infrastructure environment in Geneva.

The role will focus on supporting and maintaining simulation infrastructure across multiple sites, covering both physical and virtual environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting VMware infrastructure, virtual machines and physical hardware
• Maintaining physical and virtual server environments
• Monitoring system performance and availability
• Troubleshooting technical issues and managing incidents through recovery and resolution
• Performing operating system upgrades and ongoing performance tuning
• Supporting internal users with escalated infrastructure-related issues
• Ensuring infrastructure reliability, security and data protection
• Understanding the existing technical environment, systems, processes and tools
• Contributing to backlog refinement and working with project requirements and user stories
• Participating in technical workshops and collaborating closely with infrastructure and domain experts
• Supporting infrastructure automation using Ansible

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in infrastructure management and monitoring, who is comfortable working independently while collaborating within an Agile team.

Excellent written and spoken English is required, together with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
