What we're looking for

Must-haves

  • Real operations experience (logistics, supply chain, customer service, sales ops, or similar) — not just a technical background.
  • A track record of building and deploying AI-driven workflows or agents in a live business setting.
  • A strong communicator who can explain technical work in plain, business-first language.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and embedded with non-technical teams.
  • Bias toward action — ships pilots, iterates, and gets things into production.
  • Professional English, written and spoken.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agent frameworks or workflow automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n, or similar).
  • Experience scaling a pilot project into a company-wide system.
  • Familiarity with reporting / BI tools (Excel, dashboards).

Projects

About the team & project

You'll join a lean, cross-functional operations team at Rove Concepts, working embedded with our logistics, operations, and sales groups. This is a new, high-visibility initiative: we're weaving AI into how the business actually runs so our teams can move faster and spend less time on manual work as we scale our direct-to-consumer business across North America.

You won't be off in a lab. You'll sit close to the people whose problems you're solving, ship real systems into production, and see the impact directly — in hours saved, cost cut, and bottlenecks removed. If you like ownership and turning messy operational problems into working automation, this is a rare seat to build something from the ground up.

About the role

What you'll do

We're building AI into how our business actually operates — logistics, cost reporting, sales outreach, and internal workflows. We are not looking for a pure AI/ML engineer. We're looking for someone with a strong operations background who uses AI as a tool to solve real business problems, not the other way around.

You'll work embedded with our operations and logistics teams to find where AI can save time, cut cost, and remove bottlenecks — then design, build, and ship those systems yourself or with a small team.

  • Audit existing workflows across logistics, ops, and sales to find high-value automation opportunities.
  • Design and deploy AI agents and workflows end to end (e.g. inbox triage, outreach automation, reporting).
  • Partner directly with operations, logistics, and sales teams to understand real bottlenecks before proposing solutions.
  • Translate technical work into business terms — cost saved, hours saved, revenue impact — for leadership reporting.
  • Take pilots from proof-of-concept to reliable production.
  • Continuously identify the next highest-ROI opportunity for AI in the business.

Compensation

Competitive USD contractor rate, commensurate with experience. $2,500–$4,500/mo

What success looks like

  • AI systems in production that measurably reduce manual work or cost.
  • Clear, leadership-ready reporting on ROI for each initiative.
  • Operations teams trust and adopt what you build, because it actually solves their problems.
