Site Reliability Engineer

mthree is looking for a talented Market Data Distribution Systems Engineer to join our Budapest team and work with one of our international partners.

🌍 About the role

You’ll join a global engineering team responsible for the day-to-day operation, integration, and production management of market data distribution platforms.

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

• Design and configure global market data distribution systems with an optimal latency profile

• Monitor capacity and plan for periods of increased market volatility

• Proactively improve platform stability, resilience, and security

• Integrate new market data feeds and client requirements

• Work closely with global development teams on releases, testing, and deployments

• Support feed migrations and evolving regulatory requirements

• Perform OS, security, and software upgrades

• Identify opportunities for automation and productivity improvements

• Troubleshoot production issues and drive proactive problem resolution

💻 What we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems

• Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting

• Python knowledge, ideally with hands-on scripting experience

• Understanding of TCP/IP and UDP networking

• Knowledge of multicast is a strong advantage

• Experience with highly available, globally distributed systems

• Understanding of configuration and capacity management

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent spoken and written English and confidence working in a global environment

• Java, C++, or Perl experience

• Agile methodology

• CI/CD experience

• Project management experience

• Database technologies

• Experience using AI models and agents to improve engineering productivity
