Job Summary
Role Overview
Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support our Identity Security initiatives across the Central U.S. region, with a focus on Workforce Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA).
In this role, you will partner with sales teams and customers to help organizations improve how they authenticate users, manage access, and govern identity across enterprise environments. You will work with both technical and business stakeholders to understand identity challenges, demonstrate Palo Alto Networks solutions, and support the design of practical identity architectures.
This role is ideal for curious technologists who enjoy learning by building and experimenting with systems, and who are excited to apply that curiosity in real customer environments.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Account Executives and Sales Specialists to support customer engagements throughout the sales process
- Deliver product demonstrations and technical walkthroughs for prospective customers
- Assist in technical workshops, evaluations, and proof-of-concept engagements
- Help customers understand identity concepts such as authentication, access management, and identity governance
- Work with customers to explore integration options with directories, SaaS applications, and enterprise infrastructure
- Troubleshoot technical questions that arise during evaluations or demonstrations
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences
- Collaborate with teammates to share knowledge, improve demos, and strengthen the broader SE organization

- You enjoy exploring how systems work by testing integrations, APIs, and authentication flows
- You like experimenting with new tools and technologies to understand how they behave in real environments
- You are comfortable troubleshooting configurations and figuring out why something works the way it does
- You enjoy sharing what you learn with teammates and customers
Identity Experience
- Experience working with Identity & Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance (IGA), or related security technologies
- Familiarity with identity concepts such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC, MFA, federation, directory services, and identity lifecycle management
- Exposure to identity platforms such as CyberArk, SailPoint, Saviynt, Okta, Ping, or Microsoft Entra ID
- Understanding of enterprise environments that include directories, SaaS applications, and cloud infrastructure
- Ability to troubleshoot integrations involving APIs, authentication flows, or directory services
- Familiarity with REST APIs and tools such as Postman or similar
- Comfortable working with command-line tools and basic scripting when troubleshooting integrations or testing APIs
- Exposure to major cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Ability to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and business audiences
- Comfortable presenting and leading discussions with engineers and IT stakeholders
- Able to connect technology capabilities to real customer challenges
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and support teammates
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CISSP or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel up to 30%
