Azure Cloud Automation Engineer

Location: Onsite 3 days a wk; Hybrid – Office location is Chandler AZ/Charlotte NC/Plano TX

Required Pay Scale: $70-85hr W2

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Focused Cloud Automation Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud automation, scripting languages, and infrastructure as code. Additionally, they should be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment and possess excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform
• Write public cloud infrastructure as code automation using tools such as Terraform
• Design and develop public cloud landing zones automation to build core cloud foundational platform services
• Develop cloud services provisioning automation with integrated capabilities of IAM, network, security policies as code, and observability
• Implement built-in resiliency, observability, and enable FinOps as a part of infrastructure automation to enable data PaaS services
• Develop and maintain cloud services catalog for app developers and devops teams
• Develop CI/CD pipelines to build the cloud data analytics platform
• Collaborate with technical product management and operations, to deliver the engineering roadmap in Agile model
• Partner with Information Security teams to engineer secure app patterns into Cloud platforms
• Assist in translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
• Assist technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers by ensuring that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards.
• Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
• Experience (5-7 years) in enterprise-scale cloud environments, building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Understanding of landing zones, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, and Well-Architected Framework principals.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and cloud security.
• Significant experience (3 to 5 Years) writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modules.
• Experience in DevOps models with infra-as-code, config-as-code, policy-as-code, etc.
• Proficient in translating designs into fully developed Terraform code.
• Expertise in programming and infra-automation tools - Terraform, Ansible, Java, python, etc.
• Experience in financial services industry
• Experience on technology and infrastructure teams
• Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration
• Experience in Azure data analytics technologies including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Purview and Power BI
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages to automate deployment, configuration, and management of cloud-based infrastructure
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code templates using ARM templates, Terraform, or other similar tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cloud automation solutions that align with business objectives
• Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure and provide timely resolutions
• Implement security best practices in all aspects of cloud infrastructure and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to team members to ensure the quality and consistency of code
• Stay current with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends and provide recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

• 6+ yrs exp in enterprise-scale cloud environment, building IaaS and Paas solutions
• Agile
• CLOUD expertise - HEAVY azure experience (Primarily azure background)
• 4+ years terraform
• Python
• Data related service exp within Azure
• Azure Analytics/ Products/ Services specialist

Desired Qualifications:

• Security/ segregation/ networking experience
