Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Design, build, and maintain our scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
  • Develop and manage our Kubernetes clusters, including Amazon EKS and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and containerized services with Amazon ECS.
  • Build and optimize our CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins to enable fast and reliable software delivery.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Champion and implement GitOps principles using declarative CD tools like ArgoCD.
  • Manage and scale our containerized applications using Docker.
  • Develop automation scripts using Bash and Python to streamline operational tasks.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement best practices for our cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes.
  • For senior candidates: Mentor junior team members and lead technical initiatives.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer (3+ years for mid-level, 5+ years for senior-level).
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP.
  • In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration (e.g., EKS, GKE, ECS).
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
  • Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Experience with declarative CD tools, with a preference for ArgoCD.
  • Strong experience with Docker and containerization.
  • Excellent scripting skills in Bash and/or Python.
  • A solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring in a cloud environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS, GCP, or Kubernetes certifications.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Experience in the media or streaming industry.
  • A passion for automation and continuous improvement.
