Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to join a growing Microsoft cloud environment and take responsibility for the support, administration and continuous improvement of its Azure infrastructure platform.

This is a hands-on engineering position with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure IaaS, cloud networking, security and operational support, alongside exposure to Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365.

You'll work closely with a Modern Workplace Architect and wider infrastructure teams, supporting business-critical cloud services while contributing to migrations, infrastructure improvements and new cloud initiatives.

What you'll be doing

• Administering and supporting Microsoft Azure IaaS environments
• Managing Azure VMs, Storage, Backup and associated cloud services
• Supporting Azure networking and hybrid connectivity
• Troubleshooting complex cloud and infrastructure issues
• Monitoring platform availability, performance and capacity
• Supporting Azure security controls, governance and vulnerability remediation
• Administering Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA and RBAC
• Supporting Microsoft 365 services
• Acting as a 2nd/3rd line escalation point for cloud-related issues
• Contributing to Azure migrations and infrastructure projects
• Identifying opportunities for automation and service improvement

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have strong hands-on experience across:

• Microsoft Azure IaaS
• Azure networking
• Azure Virtual Machines, Storage and Backup
• Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Microsoft 365
• Windows Server
• PowerShell
• Cloud security and identity principles

This would suit an Azure Infrastructure Engineer or Cloud Engineer looking for broader ownership within a growing Microsoft cloud estate.
