Project Role Description : Provides assessment of existing solutions and infrastructure to migrate to the cloud. Plan, deliver, and implement application and data migration with scalable, high-performance solutions using private and public cloud technologies driving next-generation business outcomes.

Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education

Summary:

The Manager will act as a hands-on architect + execution leader, owning migration strategy, technical design, and delivery governance while actively contributing to execution.

Must have skills : Cloud Migration Execution

Lead end-to-end migration architecture & execution using any migration tool

Deep expertise in:

RedHat Linux / Windows (at least one, Linux preferred) - Mandatory

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Important

Hands-on expertise in:

• Automation (Ansible, Puppet, Python, PowerShell, Shell)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Cloud Certifications (Highly Preferred): Minimum one public and one private professional cloud certification

AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional / DevOps Engineer

Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert / DevOps Expert

Google Professional Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer

GenAI & Emerging Technologies: understanding of Generative AI tools and their applicability within cloud-native ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end migration architecture & execution using Carbonite

Define migration strategy, wave planning, and cutover approach

Act as technical escalation point for complex issues

Drive hands-on execution for critical migrations

Collaborate with stakeholders across infra, app, and cloud teams

Ensure automation-first approach using Terraform, Ansible, scripting

Govern best practices, security, and compliance

Mentor and guide Associate Managers and Specialists

Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure successful migration execution.

Document migration processes, issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.

Support VMware and GCP integration during migration activities.

Participate in war rooms and provide technical leadership during critical migration phases.

Must-Have Skills

Strong experience in Cloud Migration (Lift & Shift)

Deep expertise in:

• RedHat Linux / Windows (at least one, Linux preferred)
• VMware vSphere, ESXi, VCF Expert
• Google Cloud Platform GCP

Hands-on expertise in:

• Automation Ansible, Puppet, Python, PowerShell, Shell
• Infrastructure as Code Terraform

Extensive troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

Experience in Carbonite Migration tools

Networking fundamentals

NSX-T

VMware vRO

Active Directory basics

Backup, Storage, Monitoring basics

Mandatory: At least one Cloud Certification (GCP preferred)

Mandatory: One OS certification (RHCE preferred)

Good to have: Terraform, Python, Ansible certifications
