What You Will Be Doing
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
- Developing, maintaining, and optimising CI/CD pipelines to support automated application deployments.
- Managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistent, repeatable, and reliable environments.
- Monitoring system performance, availability, and security across cloud environments.
- Collaborating with software engineering teams to improve deployment processes and platform reliability.
- Implementing infrastructure automation and configuration management best practices.
- Supporting containerised workloads and orchestration platforms where applicable.
- Troubleshooting infrastructure, deployment, and application issues across development and production environments.
- Managing cloud networking, IAM policies, security groups, and access controls.
- Contributing to disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability solutions.
- Continuously improving platform security, scalability, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
- Maintaining technical documentation and infrastructure standards.
Essential
- 3–5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, and Route 53.
- Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar.
- Strong experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Docker and containerisation technologies.
- Strong understanding of Linux system administration.
- Experience using Git for source control and collaborative development.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security best practices, and identity management.
- Experience monitoring cloud environments using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams.
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS or other Kubernetes platforms).
- Experience managing multi-account AWS environments.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks.
- Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical production environments.
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer Professional).
- Experience within fintech, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
