Role summary

We are seeking an experienced Applications Developer with proven expertise in designing, building, deploying, and supporting cloud-based enterprise applications. This role independently delivers secure, scalable, and resilient solutions across AWS and Azure environments, exercising sound technical judgment to evaluate alternatives and resolve complex implementation challenges. The position requires end-to-end ownership of application delivery and close collaboration with business, architecture, security, infrastructure, quality, and engineering stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Role expectations

• Develop, test, deploy, and support cloud-based applications and services following established engineering standards, security requirements, and development practices.
• Participate in application design, requirements analysis, implementation, testing, and production support activities to deliver business and technical solutions.
• Create and maintain APIs, application integrations, and data services using modern development frameworks, tools, and coding practices.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of cloud infrastructure components using Infrastructure as Code tools and approved cloud platform services.
• Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment processes to support application delivery and operational efficiency.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve application, integration, and infrastructure issues while contributing to system reliability, performance, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts.

What we're looking for

Typically

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Typically, 2-4 years of directly related experience in software engineering and enterprise application development, including proven delivery of cloud-based solutions.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern application development language and ecosystem, such as C#/.NET, Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with solid knowledge of APIs, object-oriented design, testing, and secure coding.
• Hands-on AWS experience with services such as Lambda, ECS or EKS, API Gateway, S3, RDS or DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudFormation or AWS CDK, and CodePipeline.
• Hands-on Azure experience with services such as App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, API Management, Azure SQL or Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Azure Monitor and Application Insights, Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, Bicep or ARM templates, and Azure Pipelines.
• Experience with containers and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, and with cloud networking, identity, access control, and secrets management.
• Experience with Git-based development, automated testing, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, logging, monitoring, alerting, and production troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently on complex assignments, contribute to solution architecture, review code and designs, and provide practical technical guidance to other developers.
