Solution Architect

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect who will help shape the organization’s technology landscape and design secure, scalable, future-ready solutions.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams and senior management, translating business requirements into effective technical architectures across cloud, software, integration, data and security domains.

Location: Warsaw – candidates must be based in Warsaw or able to work regularly from Warsaw

What you’ll do

• Design end-to-end system and application architectures aligned with business, performance and security requirements.
• Assess existing solutions, identify architectural gaps and define future-state architectures.
• Translate business and functional requirements into comprehensive technical designs.
• Design cloud-native, monolithic and distributed systems.
• Define application structures, system components, interfaces and data flows.
• Design integrations between internal and external systems using APIs, messaging and event-driven patterns.
• Define database and data architecture for new and existing solutions.
• Create solution concepts, prototypes and architectural skeletons.
• Recommend architectural patterns, technology standards and software development principles.
• Evaluate and recommend both commercial off-the-shelf solutions and internally developed software.
• Define technical requirements covering infrastructure, software, tools and development environments.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements, technical limitations and architectural decisions.
• Prepare architecture documentation, UML/C4 diagrams, integration schemas and data-flow diagrams.
• Communicate architectural recommendations, risks and trade-offs to technical teams, business stakeholders and senior management.
• Support engineering teams throughout solution implementation and architectural governance.

What we’re looking for

• At least 5 years of professional IT experience, including experience in a Solution Architect, Application Architect, Integration Architect, Software Architect or similar role.
• Strong experience translating business requirements into technical architecture and solution designs.
• Practical knowledge of cloud-native development, preferably within Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience designing microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of API architecture, including REST and/or GraphQL.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth2, OIDC and SAML.
• Experience with integration patterns, event-driven architecture and messaging solutions.
• Good knowledge of application security principles and OWASP best practices.
• Understanding of databases, data architecture and data-flow design.
• Ability to define non-functional requirements, including scalability, availability, performance, security and maintainability.
• Experience producing clear architecture documentation and technical diagrams, preferably using UML or C4.
• Ability to explain complex technical decisions and risks to senior, non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
