The Opportunity
We are looking for a Cloud CoE Technology Owner specialising in Linux and On-Premises Storage to lead the strategy, governance and technical evolution of our enterprise infrastructure platforms. This role combines strategic platform ownership with deep technical expertise. You will define platform standards, technology roadmaps and lifecycle strategies while remaining hands-on with automation, infrastructure engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with global engineering, architecture, security and operations teams, you will ensure our Linux and storage platforms remain secure, resilient, automated and aligned with Mars' long-term technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- As the Cloud CoE Technology Owner, you willOwn the technology strategy, standards and lifecycle management for enterprise Linux and on-premises storage platforms
- Develop and maintain platform roadmaps aligned with business and Digital Core objectves.
- Design, build, configure and support enterprise Linux environments, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux.
- Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using technologies such as Terraform and Ansible
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and operational processes.Ensure Linux platforms are secure by implementing CIS benchmarks, vulnerability remediation and system hardening.
- Manage enterprise storage platforms including SAN, NAS, backup, replication and Oracle storage environments.
- Partner with infrastructure, security, networking, DevOps and application teams to deliver reliable hybrid cloud solutions.
- Work closely with technology vendors including Red Hat and Oracle to optimise platform performance and lifecycle management.
- Perform capacity planning, availability management and technology refresh activities.
- Support disaster recovery, backup and business continuity initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance across engineering teams.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, operational excellence and root cause analysis.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience within enterprise IT infrastructure.
- Extensive hands-on experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux.Strong knowledge of Linux patching, performance tuning, system hardening and CIS security benchmarks.
- Experience managing enterprise SAN and NAS storage technologies.
- Knowledge of enterprise backup, replication and Oracle storage platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills using Bash and/or Python.
- Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments integrating on-premises and public cloud technologies.
- Experience collaborating across infrastructure, DevSecOps, networking and application teams.
- Proven ability to develop platform standards, technology roadmaps and lifecycle strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent Linux certifiction.
- Public cloud certifications (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
- Experience participating in Architecture Review Boards(ARB).
- Experience defining and managing operational SLAs and KPIs.
