Job Title: SAP Developer / Global Support Manager – Cloud & Data Engineering Architect
Client: State of South Carolina (Public Sector)
Location: Hybrid / Remote (Must be available to be onsite 2–4 days/month in South Carolina or as directed)
Contract Duration: 12+ Months
Work Authorization: USC, GC, GC-EAD, H4-EAD, L2-EAD (W2 on our Payroll Only)
Pay Rate: $80.00 – $100.00 / hr (W2).
About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced Cloud and Data Engineering Architect to support enterprise technology solutions for the State of South Carolina.
- This hybrid position combines cloud architecture, enterprise data platform design, and ERP integration oversight. You will establish technical design patterns, build cloud-native integration solutions, and support large-scale government infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud & Data Architecture: Design and implement enterprise cloud-native architectures and data platforms (data lakes, analytics, data engineering) across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Integrations & APIs: Build enterprise integration solutions utilizing REST APIs, event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and distributed systems.
- DevOps & Automation: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or equivalent technologies.
- Security & Governance: Drive cloud security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), performance optimization, monitoring, and enterprise governance standards.
- Documentation & Leadership: Create high-level design documentation, solution patterns, and technical standards while supporting public-sector operational support frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, Data Science, or Engineering (or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience).
- Enterprise Experience: 10+ years designing, developing, and implementing enterprise technology solutions.
- Cloud Architecture: 7+ years designing/implementing cloud-native solutions using Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Core Technical Competencies: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, IaC (Terraform/Bicep), CI/CD, and cloud data platforms.
- Work Authorization: Open to USC, GC, GC-EAD, H4-EAD, or L2-EAD (Must be willing to work strictly on W2 payroll).
- Onsite Availability: Ability to work remotely with flexibility to be onsite 2–4 days per month in South Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Azure certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Associate, or Azure Data Engineer Associate) or TOGAF/Enterprise Architecture certification.
- Direct experience integrating SAP, SAP S/4HANA, ERP platforms, HR systems, or financial applications.
- Familiarity with Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Event Grid, or Ivalua.
- Experience supporting large-scale government, public-sector, or highly regulated enterprise environments.
