What They Would Do
Client-Facing Architecture Leadership
- Lead technology and architecture workshops with prospective and existing banking clients to map out target-state solution architectures and position the optimal Temenos deployment model e.g., SaaS, private cloud, public cloud, or on-premises.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and where required, live technical demonstrations of the Temenos solution, covering integration patterns, the Extensibility Framework, security architecture, and key point solutions e.g., Digital, AML, etc.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact through pre-sales cycles, building deep credibility with CTO, architecture, infrastructure, and security stakeholders.
- Author and own the technical and architecture sections of RFIs, RFPs, and solution proposals, translating complex platform capabilities into clear, client-relevant narratives.
- Design end-to-end Temenos solution propositions in collaboration with sales, product management, delivery, and partner teams to ensure business challenges are met with coherent, credible technology responses.
- Translate client operational requirements into infrastructure sizing recommendations by working with relevant Temenos teams (i.e., sizing team, services, and SaaS teams), integration blueprints, and migration strategies.
- Represent BSG at regional banking technology events, exhibitions, and webinars, delivering architecture and platform presentations that reinforce BSG’s position as a trusted adviser in the sector.
- Contribute to BSG’s external brand through white papers, blog posts, and technical content that demonstrate leadership in cloud banking architecture and modern integration approaches.
- Stay current on cloud, SaaS, and core banking technology trends and bring that insight into client conversations and internal knowledge-sharing.
- Work closely with sales colleagues to understand the commercial context of each engagement, including subscription licensing models, bank procurement cycles, and budget timelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of BSG’s pre-sales assets, demo environments, and architecture reference materials.
- Substantial experience in solution architecture, or senior technical pre-sales within banking, FinTech, or financial services software.
- Proven record of designing and delivering mission-critical banking platform implementations, including architecture definition, infrastructure sizing, data migration, systems integration, and customization.
- Previous exposure to core banking or financial technology vendor environments, with direct involvement in client-facing delivery or pre-sales roles.
- Fluency in cloud infrastructure and platform services across major providers e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, and container/orchestration platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API management, middleware, and security architecture in regulated financial environments.
- Familiarity with retail and/or corporate banking operational processes and the technology stacks that underpin them.
- Working knowledge of cloud security frameworks, data residency requirements, and operational resilience standards relevant to banking (e.g., CPS 230, DORA).
- Consultative, client-first mindset with the ability to listen actively, diagnose complex needs, and articulate solutions in terms that resonate with both technical and executive audiences.
- Polished communication skills across all formats such as whiteboard workshops, boardroom presentations, written proposals, and public speaking.
- Commercial literacy across enterprise software pricing models, SaaS subscription structures, and bank procurement processes.
- Collaborative by nature, with experience working across sales, product, delivery, and partner teams in a matrixed organization.
