Solutions Architect (ERP / HCM / SaaS)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading insurance provider, is seeking a Technical Solutions Architect to play a crucial role in the Company's cloud migration to Azure, working within COTS and SaaS platforms. This role requires a minimum of 2x/days onsite in Short Hills, NJ location and hybrid responsibilities between a Solutions and Enterprise Architect.

• 7+ years of experience in application development and 3+ years of architectural experience.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, and major platforms, with an emphasis on Workday and other ERP/HCM systems.
• Experience designing and integrating multi-tier systems in high-volume environments.
• Strong understanding with modern architectural patterns, software development best practices, Cloud capabilities, and DevOps initiatives.
• Previous software engineering background, preferably supporting SaaS or COTS platforms.
• Proven ability to mentor and assess technical teams, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements from internal stakeholders into technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on commercial off-the-shelf and SaaS systems integration.
• Mentor and review technical approaches across the team to ensure modern patterns are applied.
• Assess and recommend AI and emerging technology applications for business problems.
• Conduct Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) assessments.
• Serve as technical oversight between business stakeholders, system integrators, and enterprise architecture.
• Manage platform customization decisions to prevent technical debt and maintain upgrade capability.
• Evaluate options for batch processing versus real-time APIs and other architectural trade-offs.
