A day in the life.
We are seeking a Senior Data Solutions Architect with a minimum of 12 years of experience who can translate business requirements into technical strategies and architect the solutions on to MMA data platforms. In this role that blends Data and Cloud architecture, you design enterprise data architecture and solutions across MMA’s cloud and hybrid data platforms
- Lead the Design and Architecture of enterprise solutions across MMA’s Agency management software, EHB and CRM domains.
- Develop and maintain solution blueprints for core platforms, including Agency management systems, GCP, Azure Databricks, Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Fabric and Azure SQL.
- Define and enforce standards for medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) for MMA’s data Lakehouse, ensuring proper ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
- Establish secure and scalable integration patterns and data flows between AMS , HRIS , CRM, Azure Cloud, and development systems.
- Ensure solutions comply with GDPR , HIPAA , and other regulatory frameworks governing healthcare and insurance data.
- Collaborate with the Data Governance Council to align solution architecture with role-based access controls ( RBAC ) and row-level security ( RLS ) in Unity Catalog and Power BI.
- Drive adoption of metadata management and data lineage practices within Databricks Unity Catalog and other modern data governance tools.
- Partner with enterprise architecture, Data Analytics, and Data Engineering teams to align on shared infrastructure and data strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technology features in AI/ML, Databricks, and analytics to support decision-making and MMA’s long-term data strategy.
- Support MMA’s data modernization and transformation initiatives by developing frameworks for AI-ready data platforms, enabling responsible adoption of predictive analytics and LLM -based solutions.
- Minimum 12 years of experience designing end to end ETL/ELT data solutions with a minimum of 5 years preferably in Azure cloud environment and Databricks.
- Comfortable working in agile methodologies and large scale data migrations, data modernization initiatives, proof of concept experiments and requirements gathering.
- Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models support engineering, analytics, and operational use cases and creating entity relationships
- Advanced knowledge of SQL ,data modeling, and modern data Lakehouse technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Delta Lake features such as Change data capture, ACID transactions, optimization, and schema drifting/evolution for both batch and real-time data processing.
- Understanding of compliance, quality, and security frameworks for healthcare and Insurance.
- In-depth understanding of data structures (structured and unstructured), Data types and formats and command on high performance data storage in data lakes.
- Certifications in TOGAF, Enterprise Architecture, Azure are a big plus.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $115,800 to $202,700.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
