IT Infrastructure Architect & Partner Manager (m/f/d)

For our Site in Gilching near Munich, we are looking for an IT Infrastructure Architect & Partner Manager (m/f/d).

As our IT Infrastructure Architect & Partner Manager, you will be the core technical mind shaping the future of our global IT landscape across 10 countries. Working within a lean, agile internal IT team, you combine strategic architectural vision with pragmatic technical service provider steering. You don't just draw blueprints, you steer our global service providers to turn those designs into reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for our 1,200 employees.

Your Responsibilities:

Architectural Design & Strategy

• Develop and maintain the global IT architecture framework and technological roadmap
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation within the infrastructure landscape
• Ensure architectural consistency and integration across cloud and on-premises environments

Technical Provider Steering

• Technically steer external service providers in the implementation of architectural designs
• Review technical solutions provided by vendors for alignment with internal standards
• Collaborate with partners to optimize infrastructure performance and scalability

Cloud Platform Strategy

• Define and drive the global cloud platform strategy (hybrid / multi-cloud)
• Align cloud architecture with business, security, and cost-efficiency requirements
• Ensure integration between on-premises infrastructure and cloud services

Global Collaboration & Communication

• Act as the strategic consultant and main IT contact for business leaders and local IT counterparts across our 10 international sites.

International Operations

• Work effectively across time zones, including flexibility for meetings outside standard office hours
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
• Consider and manage country-specific IT challenges

Security & Compliance

• Partner closely with our CISO to integrate security-by-design into all infrastructure roadmaps, cloud setups, and audit frameworks.

Your Profile:

• Experience: 5+ years in IT infrastructure design, network topologies, or cloud architecture (hybrid/multi-cloud), preferably within a global mid-sized company (Mittelstand).
• Service Provider Communication: Proven collaboration with external service providers and evaluating technical proposals.
• Mindset: Pragmatic, self-driven, and proactive. You enjoy working in a lean IT team structure where your decisions make a direct impact.
• Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills with fluent German and English (spoken & written). Willingness to travel occasionally and work with global time zones.
