Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Infrastructure, the Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer is responsible for the architecture, administration, and continuous improvement of the company's infrastructure platforms. This role provides technical leadership across cloud services, servers, networking, identity, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and operational automation — supporting both PureEHS's SaaS platform and internal business operations.

This is a senior-level, hands-on role for an engineer capable of independently owning infrastructure projects, resolving complex production issues, and ensuring platform reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure
  • Administer Windows and Linux server environments
  • Manage networking infrastructure including routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing
  • Administer identity platforms including Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
  • Administer virtualization and cloud platforms
  • Develop infrastructure automation and drive operational efficiencies
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
  • Support vulnerability remediation and security initiatives
  • Partner with application teams to ensure reliable and scalable service delivery
  • Create and maintain infrastructure documentation and operational runbooks
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server administration
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
  • VMware and colocation experience
  • Deep networking knowledge including firewalls, VPNs, routing, and switching
  • Experience supporting SaaS environments and high-availability architectures
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and infrastructure automation
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SOC 2, ISO 27001, or other regulated/audited environments
  • Azure certifications
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Experience with security technologies and vulnerability management
