Can demonstrate knowledge of standard computer and network operating systems, protocols, and software with advanced proficiency in using standard and ad hoc applications; knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, educational technology requirements; ability to determine priorities, allocate resources, manage projects, measure and analyze results; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to leverage software development and industry standard solutions to automate tasks required. Understands the relationships between components within the solution as well as with non-solution components. Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing comprehensive frameworks and processes (e.g., ALM), ideally within an organization with diverse user groups. Experience mapping system requirements to architecture and conducting configuration management of system configurations. Proficient with the development of technical specifications, interface control documents, integration plans and schedules, interservices support agreements, system behavior diagrams, sequence diagrams, and network diagrams. Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and extensive experience with ALM various tools and platforms. In-depth knowledge of governance frameworks and best practices (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL), with a proven ability to coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders, including non-technical users. Knowledge in data privacy principles and regulations specific to education (e.g., FERPA, COPPA, CIPA) and experience with � � �privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) and secure coding practices. Proficient in designing secure and scalable cloud-based architectures (e.g., Azure � � , AWS), with a solid understanding of network security, identity and access management, and data encryption techniques. Ability to write and code custom reports for various education tools. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic educational environment. Considerable knowledge of enterprise systems architecture, Windows/Linux/Unix Server environments, cloud services, hybrid cloud design, virtualization platforms, enterprise storage, backup and recovery solutions, disaster recovery, threat intelligence, infrastructure automation, configuration management, patch management, monitoring, identity and access management, server security controls, infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps methodologies, cloud engineering practices and systems lifecycle management. Demonstrated ability to architect and implement automated enterprise infrastructure solutions using scripting, configuration management, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code technologies to support hybrid Windows Server and Microsoft Azure environments, improve operational efficiency, reduce manual administration, enforce configuration standards, and accelerate infrastructure modernization initiatives. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technology field. A minimum of six years of experience in technology, with at least three years in an architectural role focusing on enterprise-level systems, is required. Experience managing enterprise technology security, upgrades, and maintenance; implementing and monitoring complex �applications; responding to issues in a timely manner; preventing client impacts by adhering to SLAs; maintaining and documenting versioning controls and system performance degradation. Experience in working with complex and custom enterprise legacy systems and cloud platforms. Experience with managing a mixture of legacy code and modern technology. Experience in working with remote contracting teams. Experience in creating technology workflow diagrams and gathering business functional and technical requirements. Experience writing and maintaining scripts for infrastructure automation. Experience in authentication, authorization, and rostering (i.e., LDAP, SAML, OAuth, and others). Proficient in Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, GIT, PowerBI, Python, and/or SQL preferred. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform effectively in the position, may be considered.��Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional, ITIL 4, Project Management Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, or other relevant cloud, orchestration, automation, systems administration, cybersecurity, architecture, or project management certifications.
