London - Leeds - Manchester - Hybrid

A leading UK-based digital consultancy operating at the forefront of cyber, cloud, and national security is expanding its cloud architecture capability and is seeking multiple AWS Solution Architects to join its growing team. Working across high-impact programmes, this role will involve partnering closely with customers to design and deliver scalable, secure, cloud-native solutions on AWS. The position offers the opportunity to shape cloud adoption strategies, define architectural patterns, and influence large-scale platform engineering initiatives across complex environments.

What’s on offer

  • Salary of £70,000 – £90,000 depending on experience
  • £7,000 DV bonus - (Candidates must be willing and eligible to achieve)
  • 10% annual bonus
  • Multiple positions available
  • Hybrid working: 3 days per week in office (London, Manchester, or Leeds)
  • Flexible working arrangements and strong work-life balance culture
  • 25 days holiday with buy/sell options
  • Private medical and dental insurance
  • Competitive pension scheme
  • Exposure to high-profile, large-scale cloud programmes
  • Opportunity to work across diverse, complex environments with modern AWS technologies
  • Clear progression across grades (GG11–GG13 equivalent)

What you need

  • Strong experience in AWS cloud architecture, with a focus on cloud-native design rather than purely migration-led work
  • Background in platform engineering (preferred) or software engineering with demonstrable platform capability
  • Experience designing and defining AWS reference architectures, patterns, and standards within enterprise-scale environments
  • Solid understanding of AWS security and networking services (core services rather than niche tooling)
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code and automation-first approaches
  • Ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable cloud solutions
  • Experience contributing to or supporting cloud migration programmes (end-to-end delivery not essential at mid-level)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams

Additional desirable experience:

  • AWS certifications (Associate, Professional, or Specialist)
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers
  • Exposure to scaled Agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe)

Please note: Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
