About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our Banking and Financial Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS to support critical banking applications and financial platforms.

This role requires strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies, automation, cloud security, compliance, DevOps practices, and financial services environments where security, resilience, and regulatory compliance are paramount.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Build and manage cloud environments supporting mission-critical banking and financial applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployments.
• Monitor cloud environments, optimize performance, and ensure high availability.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with application development, security, risk, and operations teams.
• Support cloud migration initiatives from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.
• Perform incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
• Optimize cloud costs through governance, monitoring, and resource utilization strategies.
• Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of Cloud Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience supporting highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security and financial industry compliance requirements.

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
