About the Role

We are looking for a Cloud Migration Solutions Engineer to join our team and support customers throughout their cloud migration journey. In this role, you will work closely with customers and internal technical teams to understand business and technical requirements, design suitable migration approaches, and provide hands-on technical support throughout the migration process.

You will be involved in the end-to-end delivery of cloud migration projects, from initial Proof of Concept (PoC) and solution validation through implementation, testing, and final cutover. This role provides an opportunity to gain broad exposure to cloud infrastructure, migration technologies, and customer-facing technical delivery while working with different cloud environments and project scenarios.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of cloud migration solutions covering compute, storage, databases, Kubernetes, and Landing Zone architecture.
• Work closely with customer migration teams to understand their technical requirements and provide hands-on technical support throughout the migration journey.
• Participate in the end-to-end migration lifecycle, including Proof of Concept (PoC), solution validation, implementation, testing, migration, and final cutover.
• Troubleshoot technical issues during migration projects and work with internal Tencent Cloud teams to drive issues toward timely resolution.
• Act as a key communication bridge between customers and internal technical teams by responding to technical inquiries and communicating customer requirements and feedback.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure migration activities and assigned technical deliverables are completed according to project timelines and quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, migration plans, implementation records, and project reports throughout the delivery process.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve migration approaches, technical solutions, and project delivery efficiency

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in public cloud, cloud infrastructure, cloud engineering, or related technical fields; hands-on cloud migration experience is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud platform, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or Tencent Cloud, with a solid understanding of its core products and services.
• Good understanding of cloud technologies, including VMs, Kubernetes, Object Storage, File Storage, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud networking/infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud migration and data migration tools, such as AWS DMS/DataSync, GCP Database Migration Service/Transfer Service, Azure Database Migration Service, or Tencent Cloud DTS, is an advantage.
• Experience with Kafka, Redis, middleware, or other cloud-native technologies will be considered a strong plus.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Go, or Java, is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to identify technical issues and drive them toward resolution.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong English communication and documentation skills, with the ability to independently prepare technical documentation and communicate technical information clearly to customers.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment, with strong ownership and the ability to manage multiple tasks according to project timelines.
